About the role

As an IT Operations Engineer, you will provide technical support to our employees. You will be diagnosing and resolving technical issues, maintaining technical documentation, and assisting with IT projects. We seek an organized, service-oriented, and self-motivated individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and can effectively implement IT tools. You will be responsible for overseeing IT operations and ensuring the organization's security posture. This role combines technical support with proactive information security management to ensure smooth IT operations, mitigate risks, and enforce compliance with industry standards. The IT Operations Engineer, ensures effective issue resolution, and fosters a culture of security awareness throughout the organization. Your primary goal will be ensuring our employees receive top-notch IT services.

Your responsibilities include

Technical Support & User Assistance:

• Address escalated technical issues involving hardware, software, and networks.

• Maintain up-to-date software and hardware configurations, addressing any vulnerabilities.

Information Security & Compliance:

• Implement and enforce security policies and procedures across IT systems.

• Perform vulnerability assessments, ensure patch management, and apply security updates.

• Monitor and respond to security threats and incidents, collaborating with relevant teams for containment and resolution.

• Assist in audits and maintain compliance with industry regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).

• Manage endpoint protection tools, ensuring 100% protection coverage across all devices.

• Ensure proper implementation of access management controls, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and identity management.

Incident Management & Threat Response:

• Monitor security alerts and logs, investigating any potential security breaches.

• Lead incident response efforts, ensuring timely detection and resolution of security incidents.

• Document incidents, including root cause analysis, and implement improvements to prevent future occurrences.

Asset Management:

• Maintain accurate records of hardware, software, and security assets.

• Assist with inventory management, ensuring lifecycle management Onboarding/Offboarding) processes are in place supported by our MDM tool.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:

• Develop and maintain IT documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and troubleshooting guides.

• Contribute to the organization’s knowledge base, ensuring both IT support and security solutions are well-documented.

• Foster security awareness across teams by providing training and educational materials on best practices.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to integrate security into new and ongoing projects.

• Lead efforts to continuously improve the organization’s security posture and operational efficiency.

What do we value in our candidates

• Working experience in IT operations including Information Security for 3+ years

• Knowledge of ISO 27.000 is a must-have.

• Experience with: OKTA, Google Workspace Administration, Microsoft Entra, endpoint protection tools, MS Intune MDM, and ITSM tools, Windows and MacOS endpoints, Jira, and Confluence.

• Proactive, ambitious, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with excellent customer service skills.

• Language Requirement: Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus)
