About the role
Are you ready to dive into the dynamic world of legal operations within the EV-tech industry? We are seeking an ambitious Senior Paralegal to join our team.
As Senior Paralegal, you will be joining the Legal & Compliance team, and will work alongside professionals from various departments. You play an important role in supporting commercial revenue operations; from contract review and negotiation to providing legal advice within commercial initiatives. In addition you will take on various Legal affairs that are critical for the organization as a whole.
This role empowers you to take on greater independence by allowing you to take full ownership and responsibility for all commercial and corporate legal matters. With a high level of autonomy, you will be in the driver's seat for safeguarding Road's interests during commercial transactions, and ensuring Road complies with all applicable regulations. Given your involvement in a wide range of legal and non-legal projects, this role offers you the opportunity to observe, learn, and collaborate with colleagues from around Europe. Your responsibilities include:
Commercial agreements: Review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements to support customer sales and relationships with commercial partners.
Legal advice: Provide practical and decisive guidance to internal departments on ad hoc legal matters, including marketing and sales initiatives, customer support requests and business operations.
Contract management: Take full ownership of contract lifecycle management (signing, filing, oversight and renewals) within Road’s CMS. Ensure ongoing maintenance and improvement of our contract templates in line with emerging laws and regulations, changes to Road’s product offerings and international expansion.
Business enablement and training: Train and educate internal departments on Road’s contracting process and relevant legislation for specific department activities. Coach sales team members on strategies for negotiating with Enterprise customers.
Legal & regulatory compliance: Stay on top of new regulatory developments relevant to the company and market, providing guidance to proactively manage regulatory risks. Stay current on industry, commercial, privacy and other EMEA laws, regulations, and developments to be able to give the most effective advice.
Corporate affairs: Manage legal disputes and litigation, and oversee the collaborating with external legal counsel. Safeguard the company's brand and intellectual property by overseeing the management and enforcement of trademarks and other IP assets.
Leadership: Supervise and mentor legal interns, fostering their professional development. Inspire trust and ethical decision-making among colleagues, serving as a role model who promotes a culture of shared responsibility, collaboration, and integrity.
Job requirements
What do we value in our candidates?
You have graduated with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree.
You have 3 - 5 years working experience.
Experience at multinational companies or an international law firm is a plus.
Good knowledge and understanding of commercial law, data privacy law, consumer law and/or EV regulatory laws are considered a plus.
You have excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships and a service-solution-oriented mindset.
You are tech-savvy with an eye for detail.
You get energy from working in a fast-moving scale-up environment.
You are accurate and thorough with strong integrity.
You are fluent in English, in word and writing, any other language is a plus.
