Job description
About Road
Road empowers companies across the EV ecosystem with the technology and services they need to grow and deliver seamless charging experiences. We provide the critical infrastructure that the EV charging ecosystem depends on. We do this through a purpose-built software platform supported by our unique expertise and world-class customer service. Road currently serves over 200.000 customers and 20% of the Dutch market and we have firmly set our sights on repeating this success internationally. We exist at the intersection of cleantech and fintech and our mission is to make EV charging effortless for everyone.
About the Role
Are you a proactive, curious student eager to gain hands-on experience in business operations at a fast-growing, mission-driven company? At Road, we're looking for an Operations Intern who is excited to learn, take initiative and contribute to making our processes more efficient and our customer experience even better.
As an Operations Intern at Road, you'll gain hands-on experience in how a fast-growing international company manages its daily operations, customer relationships and business processes. Your day starts by catching up with the team and discussing priorities. Throughout the morning, you'll work closely with colleagues to support customers and partners, answer questions about our EV charging solutions and gain a deeper understanding of the electric mobility industry. After enjoying lunch with your colleagues (and perhaps a quick game of ping pong!), you might spend your afternoon coordinating orders, analysing operational processes or exploring ways to improve the customer experience.
Beyond your daily responsibilities, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of tasks, contribute ideas and apply your academic knowledge to real business challenges. You'll collaborate with different departments, develop your problem-solving and communication skills, and gain valuable insights into how business operations work in practice.
Your Responsibilities Include:
Customer & Partner Relations: Build and maintain relationships with customers and partners, gaining experience in professional communication, stakeholder management and customer service.
Operational Support: Handle customer inquiries, coordinate orders and support daily operational processes to ensure an efficient customer experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with different departments to understand how business functions connect and contribute to the company's overall performance.
Learning & Development: Gain practical experience in business operations, develop analytical and problem-solving skills, and apply knowledge from your studies to real-world situations.

This isn’t just about how we work, but also about how we support each other as people.
Collaboration is one of our core values, and it shows in the way we connect day to day. We share a company-organized lunch every afternoon and regularly host voluntary activities outside of work. These moments help us recharge, get to know each other better, and keep our culture strong. Because in our eyes: a healthy team is the foundation of a healthy company.
