About the Role
As Manager Accounting & Reporting, you will lead our accounting function and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of our financial data and reporting. You will be responsible for the month-end close, statutory compliance, reconciliations, AP processing, cash flow forecasting, and the optimisation of our NetSuite ERP environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines strong technical accounting expertise with process improvement and team development capabilities. The role exists to provide reliable financial information to the Board and Management team, enabling informed business decisions while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Your Responsibilities Include:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
● Manage all financial accounting and reporting activities.
● Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable financial reports.
● Execute and drive the month-end closing process.
● Ensure compliance with accounting policies, financial standards, and internal procedures.
● Maintain up-to-date balance sheet reconciliations and account specifications.
Cash, Banking, Receivables & Payables
● Ensure accurate and timely bank reconciliations.
● Oversee accounts payable processing and reconciliation of incoming and outgoing bank payments.
● Maintain a weekly cash flow forecasting model and provide regular cash insights.
NetSuite Ownership
● Act as the key owner of the NetSuite ERP environment.
● Set up and optimise reports and accounting processes for the finance team.
● Resolve ERP-related issues and improve system functionality.
● Provide training and support to NetSuite users across the organisation.
● Manage closing periods and support continuous process automation and efficiency improvements.
Business Partnering & Improvement
● Provide input to the Controlling/FP&A team for budgets and forecasts.
● Support budget and forecast reporting activities.
● Participate in company-wide improvement projects and lead finance team initiatives.
● Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial records and processes.
Team Leadership
● Lead, coach, and develop the Accounting team.
● Drive finance fundamentals through team training and knowledge sharing.
● Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and results-oriented team culture.
Job requirements
What Success Looks Like:
Within this role, you will be expected to achieve the following outcomes:
● Reducing Month-end closing completion to 5 business days.
● Accurate monthly P&L and balance sheet with minimal prior-period corrections.
● Daily bank reconciliations with no unreconciled items older than 14 days without explanation.
● Weekly cash flow forecasting model established and maintained.
● Balance sheet reconciliations available and up to date according to account priority.
● Timely AP processing and payments with no late payment fees.
● Driving continuous improvement through increasing levels of automation across the Finance department, leveraging AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
What We Value in our Candidates
Experience & Knowledge
● Proven experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a fast-growing or international environment.
● Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, AP processes, and financial controls.
● In-depth knowledge of NetSuite ERP is highly preferred.
● Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors.
● Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes is a plus.
