Road is a fast-growing software company active in the dynamic electric driving (EV) market. We deliver the critical infrastructure that the EV charging ecosystem is built on. We do this through a purpose-built software platform supported by our unique expertise and world-class customer service. We exist at the intersection of cleantech and fintech and our mission is to make EV charging transactions effortless for everyone.

We are looking for a HR Business Partner to achieve this.

About the role

We're seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented HR Business Partner with strong business acumen, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to align HR initiatives with business objectives and drive HR initiatives throughout the company. You will enhance staff engagement, contribute to business goals, and promote good HR practices.



Job requirements

Your responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with leadership to align people strategies with business needs.

  • Advise on organizational design, team structure and talent development.

  • Partner with hiring managers on workforce planning and recruitment.

  • Develop performance frameworks and career growth paths for employees.

  • Support onboarding, internal mobility and succession planning.

  • Act as an employee advisor on well-being, feedback, career development and compensation.

  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and take action on feedback.

  • Roll out HR programs with minimal bureaucracy.

What do we value in our candidates:

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of HR experience, preferably within a startup environment 

  • You are honest, result-oriented, structured and independent.

  • You are excellent in communication.

  • You have an energetic and positive can-do mentality.

  • Strong understanding of HR best practices across performance, culture, and talent development.

  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills—you’re a trusted partner to all levels.

  • Hands-on mentality—you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves.

  • A growth mindset and love for building things from scratch.

  • You have knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations within the Netherlands;
