In this role, you will:
Work closely with experienced data engineers and business stakeholders to understand data challenges and help translate them into practical solutions.
Support the creation and maintenance of data models that enable analytics, reporting, and AI use cases across the organisation.
Contribute to improving our data infrastructure by assisting with data quality checks, documentation, and process optimisation.
Explore new tools, technologies, and best practices, bringing fresh ideas to help enhance our data workflows and engineering capabilities.
Your responsibilities include
Work together with decision makers to generate important business insights.
Analyze data and establish clear, consistent business definitions.
Support the modelling of data in DBT/Spark to ensure business logic can be reused across the organization.
Contribute to setting up new data pipelines in Airflow to ingest data from systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, and our internal platform.
Become familiar with Google Cloud Platform and apply best practices in cloud-based data engineering.
Model and prepare data to be used by AI agents.
Job requirements

You have a HBO/WO background in: Computer science, Data science, Information technology or Engineering
You possess basic skills in SQL and Python
You have familiarity with databases and data warehousing concepts
You have a problem solving mindset

You are skilled in the English language to be successful in our international work environment
What will you learn?
Learn how to work collaboratively within an Agile environment with experienced data engineers.
Develop an understanding of best practices in data architecture, data modeling and ETL processes.
Gain hands-on experience with data engineering tools and technologies (e.g. SQL, Python, Spark, DBT, Apache Airflow, Google GCP (Terraform, Bigquery), Looker, Stitch)
Working in a start-up/scale-up environment such as Road.io can be challenging, which will be a great learning experience for everyone.
